Good morning everybody, German, English , French...that's precisely what the picture on the right says.. but what do these 3 have in common ? well, except for some basic grammatical and phonetical issues, they're all subjects of learning, ie people learn them. And in today's lesson we're gonna take a look at the word "to learn" in present tense, as an example of what the endings look like in German.umm...so this is how it goes :
Was machst du?
Ich lerne Deutsch.
(What are you doing ?)
(I am learning German)
Some Vocabulary part as usual before we'll go on with the grammar :
Yep, you've got it righ - the endings are the same for both, regular and irregular verbs, and that's true for the most of the verbs (however there are exceptions, which we're gonna mention in future lessons)
The endings in the present tense would be as follows :
Ich ...-e,
du ... -st,
er,sie,es ...-t,
wir ...-en,
irh ...-t,
sie ...-en.

So basically it ain't that hard, just needs a lot of time spent on practicing and speaking those out loud.
And of course - some exerecises that will be helpfull in process of learning present tense endings :
